Graphic stating Housing Fair

City of Wolverhampton will stage its second Housing Fair of the year on Sunday 23 September 2018.

The city’s free housing fairs attract hundreds of visitors looking to tap into the help and advice on offer - and find their new home.

Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Lichfield Street, WV1 1DU, will again play host to the event between 11am and 3.30pm.

Exhibitors include house builders, private landlords, mortgage advisers, solicitors, registered housing providers.

City of Wolverhampton Council's Rent with Confidence and planning teams will be on hand and the Affordable Warmth and Housing Improvement teams from Wolverhampton Homes.

Help and advice will be available on buying your first home, downsizing, improving your existing property, and renting privately.

The event is being sponsored by WV Living, the city council’s own housing company.

Visitors can take advantage of WV Living’s ‘early bird’ offer on its upcoming developments at Sweet Briary in Ettingshall and Peascroft in Bilston, giving people the chance to secure their preferred plot from the development plan for just £125.

Sweet Briary will see 34 properties developed and Peascroft 40, with homes ranging from two to four-bedroom in size.

Councillor Peter Bilson, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for City Assets and Housing, said:

If you are looking to find the right home in the City of Wolverhampton, then come along to this free event and speak directly to the people who can help you. As well as free advice for new home buyers, there is also a host of information and support for people looking to improve their current homes. Our previous housing fairs have proved popular and it is a great one-stop shop for people seeking guidance on housing matters.”

There will also be a free prize draw at the Housing Fair, with two £50 high street vouchers up for grabs.
