The City of Wolverhampton has so much to offer - it is a great place to live, learn, work. Read on for a week of free events to support local people 1-7 April.

City of Wolverhampton's first Housing Fair will be staged during Residents Week next month. The free event will take place at Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Lichfield Street, WV1 1DU, on Sunday 2nd April, between 11am and 3.30pm.

You can meet house builders with great opportunities for first time buyers, shared ownership and help to buy schemes; get mortgage and general budgeting advice; meet private landlords and find out about the city's 'Rent with Confidence' scheme plus find out about housing options for over 50s.

It will also provide a first ever opportunity for potential buyers to talk to a range of new home builders in the city including a first view of new plans for 'homes you will love' by WV Living in Wednesfield, Ashmore Park, Bilston and Ettingshall.

There will also be a free prize draw on the day with two £50 high street vouchers up for grabs.

Councillor Peter Bilson, Cabinet Member for City Housing and Assets, said:

"If you are looking to find the right home in the City of Wolverhampton, then come along to this free event and speak directly to the people who can help you.

Supporting residents into housing, jobs, and improving the health and wellbeing of local people are top priorities for the city.

The Housing Fair is a great addition to our Residents Week offer.

This year's City of Wolverhampton Residents' Week runs from Saturday 1st April to Friday 7th April.
