Pre-tenancy workshops

If you are applying for a home through Homes in the City you'll need to come to one of our pre-tenancy workshops before we can make your application live and you can start bidding.

What do the workshops cover?

The workshops aim to help you prepare for a tenancy and cover:

  • the cost to set up a home
  • the cost of running a home
  • your rights and responsibilities as a tenant
  • how you can get ready to be a tenant
  • and lots more

Who needs to go to the workshop?

You need to book onto a workshop if:

  • You're applying for your first tenancy.
  • You have a tenancy with a private landlord (but never held a tenancy with a registered social landlord).
  • You've had rent arrears or other problems in a past tenancy.

You will need to attend the workshop in person - you cannot send someone else in your place.

If you already have a tenancy with a registered social landlord, you will not need to go to a workshop - please send us copy or a photo of your tenancy agreement using our online form.

Please note - your application will not be made live until you have attended a workshop.

Want to book your workshop?

You can book on a workshop using the link below, you can also use the link to cancel and rearrange your workshop.

Please note that the workshops get booked up very quickly so if they are showing as full, you'll need to wait until new dates are released.

If you have any mobility issues or if you need a wheelchair, please book yourself onto one of the Wednesfield workshops.
